A story of man’s relentless quest for energy, the play details the lives of a woman whose husband is fighting inside the collapsed reactor of Fukushima nuclear power station and of a man who has just arrived in Japan having survived the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl twenty-five years previously.

Presence Theatre is responding to Empty Deck's COSMIC FEAR with this reading of Jacob Hirdwall's EMPEROR FUKUSHIMA
