Mogens Rukov (né 1943) is a Danish screenwriter, playwright and professor at the Danish Film School in Copenhagen. He achieved a university degree in Nordic philology and film in 1974, shortly afterwards he began to teach screenwriting. Rukov is notoriously known and much respected for shaping new generations of Danish Screenwriters. As a screenwriter, he has co-written several prominent screenplays including amongst others “The Celebration” (1998), “The Inheritance” (2003), “It’s All about Love” (2003), and “Reconstruction” (2003). Rukov made his debut as a playwright with “The Funeral” premiering at the prominent Burgtheater in 2010 followed by “The Commune” in 2012.
