Talesnik, Ricardo

Ricardo Talesnik burst onto the international theatre scene with his first play LA FIACA, which is, to date, the internationally most performed Argentinean play. He looks back onto a highly successful career spanning 50 years of writing hits for theatre, TV and film. His plays include ‘Japanese Don’t Wait’ and ‘A Hundred Times No’. All three plays garnered international attention and were adapted as movies.

Ricardo has been the recipient of many prestigious writing awards including  the Premio Argentores, the Martin Fierro Award (Argentinean Emmy)for best comedy for his script ‘Mi Cuniado’, Premio Estrella de Mar and he holds the Gran Premio de Honor Argentores for his contribution to theatre.
He serves as Vice-President of the Society of Authors Argentina (Argentores).
