Helen has the same worries as any mother. Her children speak a language she can’t understand and her husband barely speaks at all. Her acupuncturist says her past is manifesting in her spine. Grampa is stuck on the toilet again. Her daughter has taken up competitive anorexia. Her son’s crush on a surgeon from a hospital drama is placing the dog in serious danger. And why would her husband shout “Tania” in bed?
And then the strange stuff starts happening.
All Better Now is what would happen if Ayckbourn, Almodóvar and David Lynch had a few too many gin and tonics without eating sensibly at lunch. It takes us deep into the dark heart of suburbia and leaves us there with a frozen tupperware of spaghetti bolognese in one hand and a soiled incontinence pad in the other. And a letter that will change this family forever…
A READING OF "ALL BETTER NOW" WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE SOHO THEATRE STUDIO ON THE 20TH MARCH 2015. PLEASE CONTACT IPR FOR MORE INFORMATION.
