One Monday morning, Nestor, up to now a very diligent and reliable office clerk, decides not go to work. To the astonished wife, family and friends his only explanation is: 'I have Fiaca'. While his mother and family believe he is headed for insanity, he finds time to enjoy life away from the pressures of work and social responsibilities. More so he even becomes the unlikely hero of the media – a rebels against the capitalistic system. Ultimately Nestor gets beaten by the system - he has no food at home, but there is a sandwich waiting for him at work.

'La Fiaca' is an untranslatable word that in Argentina means not only laziness but much more describes a feeling of 'I don't feel like', an anticipated fatigue brought on by obligation. In this play describes a peaceful temporary rebellion against a system
