THE BEE IN ME

Everything starts out so well. You wake up, and the sun is shining. You notice that you can fly like a bee. So you do it. You fly out of the children’s bedroom into the summer sky – right into a big red flower. Heavenly. Then suddenly everything is gone. Because now you’re on Level 2! You have to get to school on time. Get dressed on your own. Eat breakfast alone. Just avoid waking up the parents. And when you’ve just about made it, you trip over an empty beer bottle. Dad starts to yell, and then mum. Now run as fast as you can! Open and close the front door. You did it. Now you’re on Level 3. School. Is life just a game? And if so, what is there to win?
