THE DEEP

In this moving, everyman's odyssey we witness a day in the life of a fisherman, a day in which a ship sinks and friends and colleagues drown. A day in which, against all odds our protagonist survives. We join the sole surivior in his struggle against the ice-cold water off the coast of Iceland and as his faint hopes of survival dwindle we witnesss his regrets, his fear of loneliness and his dreams. This is based on a true story.

The Deep was turned into a successful film in Iceland and won many awards and nominations, including Best Filmscript of the Year.
