Turrini, Peter

Born in 1944 in Austria, Peter Turrini spend his 20s doing various jobs before turning to fulltime writing in 1971 when his play „Rozznjogd“ premiered at the Volkstheatre in Vienna. Since then he has written some 30 plays, screenplays, poems and essays, winning numerable awards for his contribution to European culture and literature, including a Certificate of Merit from BAFTA.

His plays are characterised by exaggerating reality in order to raise the awarness of the audience.
